Does anyone know?

When i was a kid in England (probably 8 or 9 years old) i remember reading a book about two children (a girl and a boy, i think) who counted sheep to get to sleep. Suddenly, the children were transported to a world in which they were surrounded by sheep standing on what looked like their bedspread. The sheep were eating the flowers printed on the bedspread. I think the conflict in the plot had something to do with saving the sheep from something and getting back to the real world.

Does anyone have any idea what book i'm talking about? I have tried googling what little i remember with no luck.

It’s a party! Bring your laptop!

I just encountered one of my flatmates, R, and his friends between the kitchen and R's room. They were all carrying their laptops, open.

Those nutty civil engineering students.

The perfect Christmas gift

Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune recently blogged his top 20 albums of 2007. Coming in at number 7 was Tim Fite's hip hop release, Over the Counterculture, which is available for free download from Tim's site.

The best track of the album (in my opinion) is 'I've Been Shot', a hilarious critique of Fifty Cent and other hard, gangbangin' rappers. Unfortunately, there isn't a video for the song available on YouTube.

Consequently, you'll have to settle for the second best track, 'Camoflage'.

Oh, and the perfect Christmas gift i mentioned in the title? Either Tim Fite's album, a camouflage jacket, or a capitalist colonial commemorative pinkie ring, of course.

Here we go

When i published the post about WalMart underwear, i was concerned that i would start getting weird search term hits that would be creepy.

Surprisingly, today is the first report i have had of such terms (it took 12 days for them to start):
