They say...
...that one way a cat can show its trust in you is to bathe itself while sitting on you. I am writing this with one hand, because my left arm is trapped by Momma Kitty performing her ablutions. I have finally been accepted by the meanest cat in the house!
In other news, here are some random photos i have taken recently:
1. Jack and his portable blanket. Jack, the bane of my existence, has become rather destructive in his old age. We gave him a pillow to sleep on, and he promptly ripped it to shreds. The shreds of pillow stuffing now serve as his bed, but he sometimes gets a little tangled up in them. Here he is after getting up one evening (he trotted the whole length of the house from our bedroom to the living room with that on his back). It's a fuzzy picture because my phone was the handiest camera.
2. A road sign warning drivers of a metal plate covering a hole in the road. The reason i find this amusing is that you just wouldn't see a sign like this in Atlanta. Metal plates are used so abundantly on Atlanta roadways that no one bothers to point them out. Many of them earn semi-permanent status, being asphalted onto the street.
3. Momma kitty usurping. This picture is just so cute. Momma Kitty will sometimes take over Jack's aforementioned pile of pillow stuffing during the day (he generally only sleeps on it at night). Momma and Jack have a love-hate relationship that mostly tends toward the hate side of the spectrum, so Momma sleeping in his spot is ironic as well as adorable.

I feel I must correct a grave error in your post. Jack does NOT sleep on that pile of fluff every night.
He sleeps IN it. Buried. Up to his ears. Nothing showing but a little tuft of hair and maybe one sympathetic eye saying, "What? You don't like to sleep in fluff?"
