I'm only up to 1473 words. Terrible. But, i have all kinds of excuses why i haven't been writing: sinus headaches, a sudden increase in teaching prep that i didn't anticipate, parenthood, etc.
On the bright side, i have remembered why i wanted to do this project in the first place and the topic for the novel i envisaged way back in August. I want to write a novelization of the Patarini movement in tenth-century Milan, the subject of my Masters dissertation. This means, of course, that i will have to quickly refresh my memory of the sequence of events and the crazy names of those involved (Guido, Ariald, Erlembald, Arnulf, etc.), but that seems like a worthy piece of procrastination.
