Here is a helpful hint: wherever you've used a contraction, change it the long form. Changing "it's" to "it is" doubles the number of words used!

If you are stuck for plot ideas, watch an episode of Blakes 7 and change the character names and settings to ones you like. It worked for the producers of Total Recall (they ripped off about half of the movie from the pilot of Blakes 7 and nobody complained). For example, in your story Blake becomes Guido and Avon becomes Ariald.
